What We Do
Since 1960, the Gottscho Foundation has played a leadership role in improving the quality of care available to kidney patients.
The Gottscho Foundation has helped those with end stage renal disease by:
- helping to develop new, ground-breaking treatments;
- providing medical equipment to hospitals, clinics and individuals;
- advocating for increased government funding;
- making transportation to dialysis centers available;
- awarding emergency grants for transportation and medication for people on dialysis;
- and developing a summer camp program for children with kidney disease.
What makes the Gottscho Foundation an exception among similar charities is that it incurs very few overhead expenses. Nearly of all donations and grants go toward direct services.
